Waterin' the plants and other things...

Nolan helped me water the plants and trees last night.  He watered the plants, the trees, the sidewalk, the bugs, the weeds and even himself.  Stoney the cat even got a little watering and he wasn't real thrilled with that.  I think we have a future yard worker on our hands! :)

Minding his own business doing a little waterin'

Look how peaceful Stoney the cat looks laying there in the mulch.
Didn't stay peaceful very long.  Poor kitty.

He really worked on this.  He looked and looked and discovered and finally decided that it would be interesting to see what happens when you squirt it at your face.

"GET YOU"
\is what Nolie said after squirting himself in the face!! :)

Swim day!

Today was a HOT one, so we swam with Heather and her grandma's pool.  Nolan had a blast!! He's been missing the pool so he really enjoyed getting back into the water.  He JUMPED off the side with no fear to me in the deep end.  YEAH! :)

Rose Hill Football begins

Yesterday I took pictures of the Rose Hill football team for their buttons.  Here is our Football star....LUKE WILLSON!!!  Last night we watched a scrimmage and the team is coming along great.  We're excited to get the action started next week! :)

Gymnastics

Nolan attended his second day of gymnastics on Tuesday.  He LOVES this place, it's the best 30 minutes of his day!!  Today the rings were his favorite.  He also enjoyed the balance beam and the bars.  He enjoyed playing with his new friend Cooper too.  Good times...

LOVING the rings!  Strong boy!
Doing a hand stand on the bars with Miss Dorothy's help. :)

What an adventure!

Saturday night we went to our friends cabin by Howard, KS.  We had a BALL!  We rode four wheelers on their land and even went across the river to see their waterfall!!  While crossing the river it was pretty rough and Nolan is on the front yelling WAHOO!!!  He had a great time!  Once we were there we enjoyed watching the kids throw rocks in the water and Nolan decided that he wanted to go to the "pool" so with no fear he walked right into the spring!  Luckily he had one arm up and John grabbed it.  Otherwise, John would have been swimming in the spring! :)  We grilled out and enjoyed the evening at the cabin!

Notice the death grip dad now has on Nolan.  :)

Too cute, they are all even standing the same!

K taking Nolan for a ride on the 4-wheeler! (in the shed) :)

Nolan LOVED his first tractor ride too!

DOG PILE!
This was about 11 pm and the kids had to keep moving or they would fall asleep!

Beautiful Sunset!

Play Time with Reed

Nolan enjoyed Friday night with his friend Reed.  Reed's mom and I went to scrapbook and Heather watched the boys.  She couldn't get them to sit still enough to take a picture together, but they played nice and hard! :)

Play Park Pointe

Nolan LOVES to go to the Play Park with his friends.  Currently they are mostly girls, but he loves them.  :)  He follows them around and does whatever they do.  It's so cute!!  Here are a few pics of them playing the other day.

THEN, the cutest thing.  My friends and I were all talking about having to go to Wal-Mart.  So instead of making that dreadful trip alone, we piled in the vehicle with 4 car seats and 3 moms and heading to lunch then Wal-Mart.  Let me just tell you that Wal-mart is much more fun with other moms and kids! :)  On the way to El Dorado, K and Nolan were sitting next to one another and K says, "I want to hold Nolan's hand".  So here they are SOO CUTE!! :)

I love Bailey...

Nolan LOVES Bailey.  Today we played outside with her and then let her come into the house. Nolan was VERY concerned about her drinking water.  He would carry the water to her and set it by her.  It was so cute to see his compassion for her.  Bailey wouldn't drink the water so I finally moved it to the laundry room where it's usually at for her.  I told Nolan that maybe she needed some privacy to drink.  SO, Nolan went to the laundry room with her, shut the door and when I opened it he says, "No momma, I help".  Poor Bailey, I'm not sure she ever drank the water, but Nolan sure loved playing with her.  Luckily she is such a good calm dog and let him sit on her for a picture.  "bye b".

What can Nolan do while being alone for 30 min?

Have you ever wondered if kids have these arms that grow 10 feet when you aren't looking?  Well, today while I took a shower I had Nolan play in his room for 30 minutes.  I had the monitor in the bathroom so I could hear if there was any real danger.  Things were VERY quite and I even thought to myself that maybe he had gone to sleep.  WRONG.  He somehow got the bandaid box out of the top drawer of his dresser and took them ALL apart.  When I found him he said, "Ouch mommy, I help?"  TOO cute.  I'm bummed that the upclose picture doesn't show all of the bandaids because they blend into the carpet.  Oh, the joys of a toddler!! :)

FANTASY FOOTBALL!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  John had his Fantasy Football draft tonight and let me tell you, he has been like a kid on Christmas Eve!!  All week checking the updates, seeing who's hurt, who's playing good in the pre-season.  And all for a make believe game.  And he thinks I'm crazy for shopping and pedicures! :)  All I can do is smile and giggle and enjoy that he has something fun to do with his friends!!  It's a big night at the Willson house.  :)

TWIN GIRLS!

I just call a got from my mom telling me that my brother and his wife are expecting TWIN GIRLS!  I'm so excited!!  Please keep them in your prayers for safe and healthy delivery sometime in December!

Trip to the Zoo

Last Friday my friends Maranda, Nikki and I took the kiddos to the zoo.  I tell you what, Friday mornings are the best for the zoo.  The animals are out and about and there is NO ONE there!!  It was great.  The kids walked all over, we saw all of the animals, including a ROARING lion and the sleeping gorillas up against the glass.  Nolan's favorite I believe was the petting zoo.  He loved getting to pet the baby goats and really liked to feed them as well.  Thank goodness Maranda has stock in hand sanatizer!  That a mom!! :)

My friend Maranda and I with our kids, and two friends in front of the camels.

Nolan loved getting up close and personal with the baby goats.  He would kiss them, yes his mother allowed that, and then say, nice kitty!! :)

Gymnastics

Today was Nolan's first day of Gymnastics.  He had a BALL!  His favorite thing was climbing the ramp and JUMPING into pit of foam blocks.  It was a work out to get out of it so that he could then go down the slide. He also did the rings, the balance beam and jumped on the trampoline. They ended the session with "the wheels on the bus" which happens to be Nolan's favorite song and somersaults.  He had a great time and even met a new friend, Cooper who will be 2 in October.  His mommy was very cool also.  Always fun to meet new friends.  :)

I was going to take pictures today but it was pretty hands-on so maybe I'll post some next week.

SWIMMING...

Nolan had a great summer of swimming at the "poo".  He LOVES the water and has NO FEAR.  By the end of summer he was jumping in and going under water.  Once he'd come up he's say, "2" as in 1, 2, 3.  He was ready to go after it again. :)

Derby Water Park

He and "Kerbear" enjoyed swimming together and they are two peas in a pod.  Here they are looking in the drain.  I asked them what was in there and Keira said, "GOLDFISH".

1, 2, 3...JUMP!

What do you think they are hunting for??

Swimming with the floaties! :)
Hello, I have now decided that I am going to blog our "tidbits" and hopefully you can keep up to date with all of our activities.  I can't believe that summer is over!!  We are now in full swing with school.  Luke is a freshman at Rose Hill.  He is quarterback for the Rose Hill Freshman team. He survived "H.I.T." week, which basically they ran for hours. :)  I believe he's enjoying it and liking high school as well.  Megan is a 7th grader.  She is excited for all year Music and she is the manager for the football team.  Go Megan!! :)  Nolan is going to be 2 in a couple of weeks.  I know, shed a tear for me too!!  I can't believe my baby is going to be 2.  He is so much fun and talks more and more every day.  He starts gymnastics tomorrow and he'll start "Pre-pre-school" or "Mom's Day Out" in a couple of weeks.  He really loves playing with his friends at the park and the pool.  Especially with his friend "Kirbear" A.K.A. Kiera. :)

Here are a few pictures from Disney world this summer.  I'll try to add more of summer later.  :)
