Update and News!

Hello, it's been awhile since I've been in blogger land. As I mentioned before my rather techno-minded two year old decided that he'd watch a movie in my computer and proceeded to turn it on, put the DVD in and watch. Well, he got tired of that movie I guess and decided to watch "dad's network cd" from work and plugged that in there too, which in turn developed a slight JAM in the computer! This all happening while dad is in charge. Just FYI! :) So computer went to the shop and this is what's been going on since the fine folks at Haddock computer revived my mac...praise to them AND it was under warranty so it didn't cost us a dime. I didn't know that children were covered under warranty. Whew...

NEWS: WE'RE PREGNANT!

And very sick. As of yesterday we are 9 weeks pregnant and baby is doing great. Mom on the other hand is struggling a bit. Morning sickness really is a crock of crap because it's more like ALL DAY SICKNESS. Over the last couple of weeks I've had what some might call the flu, but turns out it was Prego Sickness. You know the 12-15 hours of non-stop sickness. I'll defer from any more details. Monday I hit the wall after 15 hours I finally called my doctor. They advised that I needed to go to the ER for dehydration analysis. So off to Wesley we went and we waited. YES, for 3 hours we waited to get into the ER. Shoot, you could DIE of dehydration before getting into to get fluids! They gave me 3 liters of fluids, some Zofran, and a sonogram, baby looks so cute and heart is beating like crazy! I felt better for a short while in the ER and by the time I left I was vomiting up all of the fluids they just gave me. Can you say FRUSTERATED!?!?

Upon my mom's suggestion that Nolan and I come stay with them for awhile we decided that would be a good idea. She could help take care of Nolan and bring me food to help my stomach settle. With John being in tax season and super busy at work he just can't be around to help as much so we decided this would be a great situation. SO, we loaded up and my great friend drove us to Salina to meet my parents yesterday. So far so good on being sick. I've been able to keep down fluids and bland food. Nolan is enjoying grandma and papa and of course all of the ladies in the shop that mom is working on. I believe he thinks his world is a bit of a stage.

We are so appreciative for all of the friends that have stepped up and helped out over the past couple of weeks, taking Nolan to play, me to dr. visits, sitting in the ER with me and all of the prayers!! To Heather, that girl needs a post of her own. She basically moved in with us for a couple of days helping with Nolan and the house, goodness girl, you earned some wings in heaven, you were an amazing blessing! Thank you!

I'll be online while I'm here in Almena, I don't know how long I'm staying, depends on how I'm feeling, how the weather is to get back and how tired mom and dad get of Nolan and I. We are truly thankful for family and friends.

Love to all...

Blog revamp

Hello...
I'm so bummed that I took my background down and every since the "cutest blog background" site has been down...so I'm rather boring...but we'll make it!

Since then while under John's supervision Nolan decided to watch more than one movie on my computer and stuck at least 2 9IF NOT MORE) dvd's in my drive and nothing will come out. Therefore I'm going to be taking my computer in today and hopefully it won't take long to fix, but I will be off the computer until it's fixed...

Hope all is having a wonderful week. It snowed this morning and Nolan says, "Looky there....Santa". Today is mom's day out, it's a cold one so I think I'm going to do some quick errands and enjoy a viewing of "Bride Wars" at the theater.

Have a wonderful day!

"Simple Things"

I decided to let the Christmas music go for awhile on the blog. I decided since life was so hectic I thought maybe I'd go for a little Jim Brickman, relaxing music for you to listen to while you read about my crazy life! :)

I came across "Simple Things" one of my all time favorite songs. My sister sang this song at John and I's wedding, it was beautiful. It's so true, to remember the simple things that God has blessed us with in life and recognize them and be thankful today! "time won't wait, life goes by every day is a brand new sky"... Life is so precious, be here, be in the now and in the moment..."So here we go, take a chance, take a minute to just dance..."

How many times do we pass our child/our spouse/our friends and don't stop to love them, dance with them, pray with them.

I encourage you to stop and think of the simple things in life and thank God for each and everyone of them. Just think if life was just simple, we'd have nothing to worry about, be free and go there and be simple....

Love ya...

His Favorite Toy!!!

Well, it looks as though 2009 has whirled in with busy times!! I don't know what we've been doing really, just not blogging I guess. I will say that the Christmas Decorations are down and we are back in "Full Normal Mode" with more toys than we know what to do with. Nolan kind of hit the jackpot this year. You know the first couple of years you get the little ones a couple of things and call it good, well, Nolan is at the age now that it's really fun to get toys and he's young enough that they are still cheap...so you get a lot for you budget. :)

Tractors, tools, tool bench, baseball tee that shoots the balls at you, basketball goal that shoots the ball back at you, tractors, books, movies and more trucks, he has finally settled in and has decided what his favorite is...you know, the one he wants to take everywhere, the one he can sit and play for minutes at a time with....you guessed it, it's NONE of these. It's in fact a tampon. Yes, my son found the "Pampons" as he calls them and loves to push stuff through the opening. I know, I can't believe that I'm blogging this but it must be recorded and I'm sure he's not the only child that has loved this fascinating "THING". I'm serious the child threw the biggest fit today because he couldn't take his "pampon" with us to run errands, that my friends is where I draw the line!! If I do manage to get the "pampon" away from him and distract him he's also loved playing with a barn that he received two years ago...never mind all of the new toys, it's the rediscover of the old! :)

Have a great day!

Welcome 2009!

Wow, I can't believe it, 2008 has come to a close and we are starting fresh today! It's so fun to look back and see what all happened in the last year. God has truly been visable and present in our lives the entire year. We look forward to see what he has in store for us this coming year. We hope you all have many exciting ventures in 2009.
