Willson's House of Rock
Oh the discovery of old toys! Yesterday I cleaned out the toys and it was a lucky day for Nolan. He found his GUITARS! That boy can jam...let me tell you!! He played all day with the guitars...even I got to play the guitars...and those of you that know me I missed my calling of being a ROCK STAR! So yesterday was my day to shine. I did get my thunder taken from me when John got home and Nolan so politely took my guitar from me and gave it to daddy! It's okay...the boy bands had better luck than the girl bands! :)
So here they are....Willson's House of RoCk!

Man it's windy....
Okay, everyone in Kansas is getting a little piece of the wind action today...Gotta love Kansas!! I have to say I knew it was windy, but you just don't realize how windy it is until you look out the back windows and see that the POND has white caps on it! NOW, that's a windy day in Kansas!
Sounds like a redneck Kansas Joke....

Spring Break Week
Although Nolan and I aren't affected by spring break, it sure is fun with all of our friends kids out of school!! We enjoyed the great weather and played outside a lot! High lights of the week were playing at Eastborough Park with Cooper and Jenn and going to the Zoo with Wells' and Price's.
We had a great weekend with daddy home and John and I enjoyed a date night Saturday night with "Slumdog Millionaire" and dinner out! OH WHAT A TREAT!!!
Back to the grind tomorrow...I'm feeling better so cleaning and "nesting" here I come. John always gets a little worried when I start throwing things away. Good thing he's busy at work this week. :)

Funny....BUT WRONG
We had a great weekend! The weather was nice, the older kids were here and it was just a flat out good time! So much so, that I'm exhausted! :) BUT totally worth it!
Friday we went to the movie, "Race to Witch Mountain". Nolan did a great job watching the movie, although scared in a couple spots he sat really well and enjoyed the popcorn. Then we had a yummy dinner at Playa! :)
Saturday we went to Wichita for lunch, then while John worked the kids and I went to the Y. This was a blast! Luke played basketball of course, Megan and I worked on volleyball and Nolan played in the kids zone. After volleyball, Megan and I went to get Nolan, who was running the Kid Zone, imagine that! We then took him "fwimming" at the pool!! HE LOVED IT! I can't believe I didn't take my camera! He and Megan played in the water mushroom, and we swam around for about an hour. It was a great time!! We enjoyed steaks on the barbie and family time!
And here is where the FUNNY....but WRONG comes in to play! I had been making this tutu for a friends daughter and Nolan was pretty interested in it...but I kept deferring him to other things. Finally Saturday we were all sitting in the office and out of the corner of his ornery little eye he says, "I play tutu?" I'm like, yeah, let's try it on! I really wanted to see how it did fit and look on a little one...so he was really just a great model!!! However Luke and Dad didn't think so much!! :) He played up the tutu just like his mother would have!! Posing for pictures and laughing with the best of him. THIS TIME I did have my camera!! :)
After the tutu incident, Luke had to give him a gun to play with to get him back in touch with his "Man side". :)
Oh it was a funny night and a great weekend!!! I'm sure these pictures will come up when Nolan is in High school and I'm sure he will be TOTALLY thrilled! :)
Happy Spring Break!

What's in YOUR tummy?
For awhile now Nolan has been kissing my tummy before bed and in the mornings and saying, "Good morning baby" or "I love you baby" something just so sweet and cute!! This morning after kissing baby and saying good morning, he advised me that HE has a COW in his tummy and daddy has a DINOSAUR in his tummy. Pretty clever....SO, what's in YOUR tummy?

"Offensive Player of the Year"
Congratulations Luke!
Tonight we had the Freshman Boys Basketball Finale. The boys played the parents in a little scrimmage then we concluded with chili and awards. Luke was awarded Offensive Player of the Year. All awards are voted on by his team. Way to go Luke! We are so proud of you!!!
The parents and boys had equal fun, however I do believe that the boys were in MUCH better shape! :) Nolan even got a little playing time in before and after the scrimmage.
The rest of the weekend was great too!! We enjoyed the fabulous weather. We started out Friday night by playing basketball on the drive way. Nolan and I were playing before John got home and all of a sudden Nolan pulled up a chair, sat down with the basketball and said, "I sit and wait till daddy comes home.". And sure enough he did. He was ready to play when daddy got home from work and PLAY we did!! :) Mommy even shot a basket or two...actually upon request, after daddy and Nolan played Nolan got a chair for daddy instructed him to sit down and watch Mom! :) It was hilarious! He'd say, "Shoot Mom"..."Good Shot"!
Saturday we checked out the "Bugs Bunny Club" at the Augusta Theater. We thought we were going for a $.25 viewing of "Kungfu Panda". We had NO IDEA what was in store for us. It was a blast!! They drew for prizes, they played the movie and stopped the movie about every 30 minutes to give out more prizes. Nolan enjoyed the movie and the popcorn. We enjoyed lunch at Playa Azul and then headed home for a FAMILY NAP! :) It was glorious! :)
The weather has been so great, Nolan has really enjoyed playing outside, swinging and playing on his slide. Good times...Spring has Sprung...let's hope it stays!!!

Sunny day
Well, it's been awhile since I wrote. The excitement of Disney made us so tired I guess we haven't been doing much!
We did enjoy a visit from Grandma and Grandpa last weekend. It was great to see them! Nolan got a good hair cut...he's hair has FINALLY grown out enough from the "Wal-Mart Hair Cut" which was received November 1, 2008. Yes, that has been 4 months and it's finally normal! THANK YOU GRANDMA!!! He tells me EVERY morning when I comb it, "No Mommy, Grandma cut it". I assure him that I am only combing and will not attempt to cut it. I think he's a little scared from the shaving he got from the Wal-Mart lady!! That or all of the havoc his cousin Miles gave him after the cut. In reality they all gave him havoc, Miles was just the only one nice enough to bring it up EVERY time we saw him! Miles better watch it or we'll take him to Wal-Mart. :)
We enjoyed FUN NIGHT at Aunt Robin's school too. Nolan got to play LOTS of games and really impressed some of the "carny's" with his ability to shoot a basket. Who knew a 2 year old could stand at the line and throw a whiffle ball into a potty overhand and make it every time! The guy was pretty impressed! :) Sunday we enjoyed our church youth auction. I always enjoy bidding and WINNING!! I'm a bit like Joey on Friends though, I like to win, not always like to pay! :) It was for a good cause though so that was good! God continues to bless this auction every year and the youth did a great job raising money for their mission trips to come.
This week we got our house errands done at the beginning of the week so that we can enjoy the nice weather to come at the end of the week. I was however, sick with the baby today. TTHANK YOU HEATHER AND CHELLE for taking Nolan for me so I could get caught up on sleep and food!! I am so blessed with great friends! I was able to get it together enough to take Nolan to the park for a bit this afternoon and get to church tonight! So although today started in the toilet...literally....it ended MUCH better!!!
I pray tomorrow starts much better!!! If you are in KS....enjoy the weather these next couple of days!!! And if you don't like it...just wait, something will come around that you do like! :)
God Bless
