We made it home and we're all pretty tired, but catching up from a great week!! Since our last post, this is all we did!
Tuesday, Nolan and I went back to Magic Kingdom. We went thinking that all of the high school kids that were there for band festivals and President's Day would be gone. Many of them were but turns out it's "Winter Break" for many schools so the place was PACKED!! It was still fun, just had to work a little harder to see all we wanted to see. We lucked out when we got through the gates there was CHIP and DALE! Good times!! They had fun with Nolan, when he'd be looking at one of them, the other would tickle and taunt him, then visa versa, Nolan thought that was just pretty darn funny!
From there we rode rides, The Disney Train, Winnie the Pooh: Nolan LOVED it! Snow White's Scary Adventures: Nolan didn't like so much! Pirates of the Carribean, and of course BUZZ LIGHTYEAR...a couple of times! :) We ran into Hook and Mr. Smeets out side of the Pirate ride so we had a little chat with them as well.
Since it was our last day at the parks, we enjoyed the Spectomagic Parade and the fireworks before we headed back to the hotel. We had lots of fun going to the parks. It was definately a work out, but a good one!! Nolan had a blast and this morning when he woke up he said, "Let's go see Buzz...Please?" Of course we have some Buzz toys that helped to "sooth" that urge! :)
Wednesday you could say we were both EXHAUSTED! We slept in and headed to Downtown Disney. It was a nice walk, just across the street from the hotel. We rode a couple of rides, found a life size version of none other than BUZZ and I thought the T-Rex Cafe would be fun for lunch. Well, turns out it scared Nolan TO DEATH! The hostess was all proud of herself that she could seat us right next to the baby mammoth. Well, BABY Mammoth, started "Performing" and that was it for Nolan! "I NEED TO HOLD YOU"!!! Poor kid, we walked around a bit and luckily it wasn't busy so we were able to be moved to a table by the fish tank where real live Dori's and Nemo's were swimming...that helped and every time the dinosaurs roared I'd tell him to say, "QUITE DOWN IN THERE" of course he did! :)
We followed up with a little shopping and headed back to the hotel for a little dip in the pool. Nolan enjoyed getting in the water and it was super nice in the water, a bit chilly when we got out, but still a nice pool and great to be able to swim outside in February! We met a couple of little girls from New York and Nolan enjoyed "Impressing" them with his leaps into the pool. He'd yell...WATCH THIS and then jump as far as he could!
Since it was our last night I thought we'd walk back over to Downtown Disney for dinner. I thought the Rainforest Cafe would be more Nolan's speed....turns out, it wasn't. He was more scared there than at T-Rex...disaster! He held his hands over his ears and was just TERRIFIED! I ordered and let him sit on my lap, well, in SECONDS he was passed out! Poor kid was just exhausted! So, I ate my dinner and back to the hotel we went. Nolan didn't wake up during the stroller transfer, the walk back nor the transition to bed...he slept until 8:30 the next morning! He was tuckered out!
Thursday John had meetings till noon. So we packed up, checked out and hung out until he was finished. At the airport John decided to get a shoe shine. Nolan sat up with him so proud, it was so cute!! The nice shoe shiner even gave Nolan a little shine on his Nike's for sitting so good!!
We had great flights home, we were all glad to be home and to sleep in our own beds, but we had a great time and THANK YOU DADDY for taking us with you to your meeting at Disney!!!
