Happy Easter Part I

What a great weekend we had!  It was a busy one but filled with so many blessings.  Our friend, Nick, moved in with us for a couple months while he's getting started on his job and waiting for his family to move down.  It's been fun having him around and he has been helping lots! :)

My parents came down Thursday for the Taylor Swift concert...it was a blast, my parents, my sister, her girls, me and Miss Rascal all headed to the arena to see Taylor.  That girl can put on a show to say the least!  It was lots of fun and the girls had fun looking at all of her buses and trucks to carry her stuff from one city to another!

 Friday Spanky had his "Tap Showcase".  He's been taking a tap class and has really pretty much enjoyed it.  It was a VERY short but sweet "Showcase".  He did well and his dad was so proud. :)  It's good to be diverse!

All worth it for the cookie! :) 

Saturday morning, my friend Kristine and I ran the Easter Sun Run.  We only did the 2 mile run, but it was great practice and got us in the mood to train for the upcoming 10K River Run.  We did pretty well finishing with a 20 min time.

Saturday afternoon we enjoyed the beautiful weather at the park for the "Egg"stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt.  It's put on by our church and two others.  It's so neat to see the community come out for such a wonderful event.  They put on some skits, have a message about Easter and then of course the big egg hunt.  This year they put out over 16,000 eggs!  What a site.  And it's so nice as they break it up for age groups for all of the kids to have a chance.  We met the Easter Bunny, Spanky was big talks until we actually got to get close, then he freaked out a bit, which isn't his normal routine, but was this time.  Darla enjoyed the great weather and enjoyed being spoiled by her sister and grandparents!  It's a wonderful time!
