Grasshoppers...Oh BOY!

Nolan continues to amaze us and literally crack us up!  He LOVES playing outside and currently his favorite thing to do is "pester" the grasshoppers that make their way onto the drive way.  You would think that maybe the grasshoppers would learn that their friends go to the drive way and don't make it back...however, it doesn't seem to stop them. :)  

These grasshoppers are BIG and they are a bit slow, or brain dead one of the two.  Nolan loves to "inspect" their presence.  He gets down and really checks it out.  NOW, the smart ones, they fly away, usually towards Nolan's head which in turn makes for a big laugh, from Nolan and us, but the jump and wave at the hair is just the funniest and cutest little thing.  The "brain dead" ones, they stand still.  I just want to say "FLY AWAY" but no, they stay there and endure the poking that occurs.  He really is just curious and really does not mean to harm the might bugs, it just happens over time.  Well, his curiousity finally got the best of him after all of the poking and inspecting he could do he stepped on it.  "OH!  IT POPPED" he said!  Poor grasshopper.  Hopefully his little friends will learn not to land on the drive way.
